Maria Garaña is the CEO of ClarkeModet, a leading intellectual property firm specializing in the protection, management, and defense of IP rights, offering tech-based innovative solutions across various industries globally. With offices in 13 countries, the firm provides comprehensive services in patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, ensuring clients' ideas and innovations are safeguarded and monetized.
María Garaña has an extensive background in the corporate and technology sectors internationally. She began her career in consulting with Accenture in Spain and Turkey, and Bain & Company in Mexico and Dallas. She later joined Grupo Televisión Azteca in Mexico. In 2003, she joined Microsoft as COO in Mexico, then became General Manager of the South Cone, and later, as President of Microsoft Spain, led the integration of key acquisitions and the transformation towards cloud-based digital solutions. In 2017, she joined Google as Managing Director of Professional Services for Europe and in 2020, was appointed Vice President of Professional Services in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for Adobe, driving innovation and profitability through customer-centric solutions.
María Garaña holds a degree in Business Law and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In addition to her distinguished professional career, she serves on the board of directors of TUI AG in Germany and in Alantra bank, Maria is part of 2024 Forbes top female leader in Spain.
