"Born and raised in Taiwan, Yu Tung graduated from College of Medical, Chang Gung University in 2016 with a B.Sc. in Biomedical Science. Her ardor for making a meaningful impact on society led her to choose a career in the nonprofit sector. She worked as CEO in a Taipei-based NGO focused on youth empowerment and humanitarian aid, founded a food bank, and led several multinational social initiatives from rural areas in Kenya to Ukrainian refugees. Her commitment to social impact led to her appointment as a policy consultant by the Taiwanese government and nomination by the US Department of State for a leadership role in a professional program in Washington, DC. She is skilled in non-market risk management, strategic relationships building, cross-functional team building with scientific problem-solving approaches, and a human-centric mindset. Yu Tung was a finalist in the IE Global Women's Empowerment Challenge 2022 and was awarded a scholarship for an International MBA at IE Business School in 2023.
